AppFactory is a one-person app studio in Cairo, Egypt, founded by Abdelghany Abdelmotaleb. Instead of one big product, it ships a steady stream of focused mobile apps, each built to do one thing well, with a sense of humour. Five apps are live on the App Store and Google Play: DeepSearch, an AI people search; CoinScan, a coin identifier; NotBot, which makes AI text sound human; Are You Dead?, a safety check-in app; and Tap Roulette, a prank roulette game.
A self-taught builder. Ghany published his first App Store app, Tap Roulette, in 2019, and ran a 14-app Android portfolio from 2022 to 2024 before starting AppFactory.
