One set of terms for every AppFactory app: DeepSearch, CoinScan, NotBot, Are You Dead? and Tap Roulette.
Using the apps
These terms apply to every app published by AppFactory (AppFactory Ltd, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using an app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our apps on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the apps: no copying, reverse engineering, reselling, interfering with how they work, or using them to break the law or harm anyone. Some apps have their own rules, shown in the app, which also apply.
Some features rely on AI or third-party services. Results can be incomplete or wrong, so do not rely on them as professional, legal, financial, medical or safety advice.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Billing. Purchases and subscriptions are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) to the account you use for the store. We never see your payment details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown at purchase, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trials. If a subscription starts with a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Cancelling. Deleting an app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel in your store settings: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Request one through the store you paid with.
- Price changes. If a subscription price changes, the store will notify you as its rules require.
Apple devices
If you use an app on an Apple device, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms. Apple is not responsible for the apps or their content and has no obligation to provide support for them.
Are You Dead? is not an emergency service
Are You Dead? is a safety check-in service. It is not a substitute for professional emergency services. Reminders and alerts depend on your phone, your network and third-party email and SMS providers, so they can be delayed or fail, and the app cannot guarantee an emergency response. Use it as a supplementary safety measure only. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency services (911 in the US).
Using DeepSearch responsibly
Use DeepSearch only for lawful purposes. Do not use it to stalk, harass, threaten or intimidate anyone, or for any other unlawful use. DeepSearch summarises publicly available web results, which can be incomplete, outdated or about a different person with the same name. It is not a consumer report and must not be used to decide on anyone’s employment, housing or tenancy, credit or insurance.
Privacy and ownership
How each app handles your data is set out in our privacy policy.
The apps, their design, content and trademarks belong to AppFactory or its licensors. These terms do not give you any rights in them beyond the licence above.
Liability
The apps are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, AppFactory is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the apps. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending use and changes
You can stop using an app at any time by deleting it and cancelling any subscription in your store settings. We may suspend or end access to an app if you break these terms, or discontinue an app.
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version. If you keep using an app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
