Privacy

The general policy applies to NotBot. This section covers what NotBot does on top of it.

What NotBot collects

You provide: the text you paste in to rewrite. It is processed to produce your result and is not stored, logged or reused by us.

Collected automatically: device information (model, operating system); app usage events (for example sessions and button taps); purchase and subscription status; crash reports and diagnostics; ad interaction data; the mobile advertising identifier, where the operating system and your settings allow it; install attribution data.

Why: to rewrite your text, show ads, process purchases and manage subscriptions, understand how the app is used, fix crashes, measure the performance of our advertising, and meet legal obligations.

How rewriting works: your text is sent over a secure connection to our server, which passes it to Google’s Gemini AI and returns the result. Your rewritten text and history are stored on your device, using encrypted storage where available.

Service providers

• Google Gemini rewrites your text, through our server. Text is sent for processing only.
• Google AdMob shows ads in the app.
• RevenueCat manages in-app purchases and subscriptions and processes transaction data to validate purchases.
• Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics collect usage events and crash reports so we can understand how the app is used and fix issues.
• Advertising attribution: the Meta App Events SDK, the TikTok Events SDK and the Snapchat App Ads Kit measure whether an ad on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Snapchat led to your install, and which key events (such as a trial start or subscription) followed.

No text you enter is shared with ad, analytics or attribution providers. Where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent to personalised ads through Google’s consent message. On iPhone, it asks for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, ads stay non-personalised. You can change these choices in your device settings. We do not sell your data to advertisers.

Retention

We do not keep the text you enter. Your history stays on your device: you can delete it in the app, and uninstalling the app removes it. Analytics, crash, ad, attribution and purchase data are kept by our service providers for their standard retention periods.

Age

NotBot is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
